Veterans Day Announcement

Each year on the Sunday before Veterans Day, the Bergen County Historical Society conducts a wreath laying ceremony at a local war memorial or military site to honor those who have served in the armed forces and to raise the public’s awareness of these memorials throughout the county. This year, the 75th anniversary of the end of World War ll, the Historical Society has chosen the WWll Memorial in Maywood on Spring Valley Road for this honor. The public is invited to join BCHS members on Sunday, November 8, at 1:00pm, for a brief ceremony at the wreath laying and share the name of their ancestor/friend who served in World War ll. Parking is adjacent to the site.
