Join us for a Zoom presentation by three speakers on the tide mills of the US northeast.  We’ll begin with an introduction and description of Tide Mills by Earl Taylor from the Tide Mill Institute, based in Maine. 

Maine had the most tide mills in use in the US. 

Deborah Powell will follow and illustrate what is known about a tidal grist mill along the Hackensack River as early as 1710 at Historic New Bridge Landing, HQ of the Bergen County Historical Society.  

David Hoyle will talk about the future of tidal power, David is also from the Tide Mill Institute.
