The Old Mill Bathing Beach, Paramus PC

As seen in better times.

I drove by this place the other day - it's sad how useless it looks now. Making it worse is the "OPEN TO THE PUBLIC" painted on a wall there. It's been closed for at least a decade - you'd think the owners would have done something good with such a valuable property by now.

A friend from high school owns the old mill I think they are waiting for permits for it to become an assisted living facility.

This is actually Paramus Bathing Beach, the building in the picture with the Paramus Bathing Beach painted on it  being the grist mill that was moved to the duck pond that was burned in 1990

This is actually Paramus Bathing Beach

Of course, you're correct, but when did you ever hear anyone say, "Let's go to Paramus Bathing Beach for a swim"? ;D

I don't think I've ever even heard "bathing beach" in that sentence - just "the Old Mill".

I would like to use the picture of the Old Mill Bathing Beach in my family newsletter. How do I get permission? Does anyone have a higher quality version of this picture?

Most old postcards are public domain. That image came from an eBay auction. Now it's in the BCHS database and soon it'll be in your newsletter.

Can't help you with better versions, but you can lose the excess blue in Photoshop or some other photo-editing program.

I was able to gain  access several years ago before the property was sold.
