Seeking possible Bergen County residence for Samuel Hayden, born May 26, 1752 in New Jersey. Married Jemima Carle on April 22, 1771. Captain in the 4th Battalion, New Jersey Volunteers, 1776-1779 and 1st Battalion, King's American Rangers, 1779-1783. Possibly son of Nehemiah Hayden, and brother of Richard Hayden, all Loyalists. My guess is he was from Essex, Bergen or Morris County. Anyone with info, please post or contact me at
