Carlock/Van Dien Card - Pre-Palisades Amusement Park?
« on: January 28, 2009, 12:16:11 PM »

If it IS, it's also pre-Schenck Brothers too.

I found this card on eBay. It was mailed from John Carlock in Hackensack to Mrs. William Van Dien in Ridgewood in 1906. If I'm not mistaken, these two people are related:

This event would have to predate 1906. I'm just curious if this is a local card and, if so, depicting what and where. Any information on the Carlock/Van Dien relationship would be interesting.

The auction:

I'm not bidding on it, but if someone sees some local historical value in it, go for it.
