Wednesday, September 21, 7:30 pm. Images of Yesteryear: A
Photographic Journey. Guided Tour with photographer Jeffrey Steccato.
Note the change from our usual meeting the last Wednesday of the
month, due to Rosh Hashanah. The Hermitage, 335 North Franklin
Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423-1035
Join us for a guided tour of the current Hermitage Exhibit with Master
Photographer Jeffrey Steccato, the 2010 National Award Recipient and
owner of Haviland Photography in Ho-Ho-Kus. The exhibition
features more than three dozen original works by Steccato that range
from contemporary photographs that appear more like hand-painted oils
on canvas, including images of The Hermitage, to ghost towns from the
Old West and American barns. A special section of the exhibition
showcases “Ho-Ho-Kus, Then and Now,” in which Steccato presents a
dozen historical views of the community alongside photographs taken
from the same vantage point today. Many of these photographs depict
architectural features that are normally out of sight to passersby and
may surprise you.
Save the following dates for the rest of the season: October 26,
November 30, January 25, February 29 (Leap Day!), March 28, April 25,
and May 30. The Roundtable meetings are informal conversations and
presentations on local history topics. If you would like to be added
to the notification list, please contact me (
