On Saturday, Dec. 15th, the Ridgewood Historical Society will offer a program on antique and collectible quilts in the main room of the Schoolhouse Museum.  An overview will be given from 9:30 to 11:30 am on quilting as an art of both recycled domestic artifact and continuous commitment to traditional patterns.  Quilt types and motifs will be discussed along with materials and their historical significance.  The overview will be followed from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm by a presentation on ways to clean, show, store and repair quilts.  Coffee and refreshments will be offered during the course of the entire workshop.  Admission is $35 with a $10 discount to Historical Society members (BCHS members may also receive this discount).  The museum is located at 650 E. Glen Avenue in Ridgewood, adjacent to the Old Paramus Reformed Church.  To planning purposes, please phone 551 427 3042.
