I saw this auction image yesterday morning. By the time I went to put my gathered links and descriptions together with their respective images last night, the auction had ended and the image had mysteriously disappeared. It was an image I had never seen before.

My only hope at that point was to write to the seller and hope that he or she would email me the image..............a not-always-successful venture.

Imagine my surprise when I received an email from a woman named Alice Kasten that not only contained the jpeg image, but also informed me that she is the president of the Great Neck (NY) Historical Society and fully understood my request. I couldn't have hoped for a better seller to ask.
