GARFIELD, N.J. (AP) — Kelbasi and sauerkraut beat sausage and peppers in Garfield and Lodi.
Organizers have canceled this year's Columbus Day parade because it would have coincided with Garfield's parade to honor Revolutionary War hero
Casimir Pulaski.
The Bergen County communities have been holding a joint Columbus parade for 12 years.
The parades were to have started on October 7th in different parts of Garfield.
Columbus Day parade organizer Sarah Calderone tells The Herald News of West Paterson it was too much with the Pulaski Day parade.
