Sail the Hudson! July 19, 20, 21 & 22

Join BCHS on a series of sails on New Jersey’s official tall ship, the AJ Meerwald, a restored 115-foot oyster schooner built in 1928. View the New York Skyline and majestic Palisades while learning about the history, environment and culture along the Hudson. All sails, except the first, depart from Alpine Boat Basin, Palisades Interstate Park, Exit 2 on the Parkway. Pack your dinner and favorite wine. *Fee includes the bus ride between Alpine Boat Basin and Liberty State Park.
Parking fees at Alpine Boat Basin not included.
For all trips, cars will be left in Alpine.
There are restrooms at both the Alpine Boat Basin and Liberty State Park. The on board head is for the crew only and emergencies.
The AJ Meerwald sails, rain or shine, unless cancelled by Captain Jesse Briggs.

We were out on the AJ Meerwald tonite for a kick-off reception to the 4 day event. What a nice breeze sitting on the ship -- at the foot of the Palisades. Enjoyed a glass of wine while gazing at the Half-Moon sitting in the Hudson River, just north of us. I wonder if we'll get a better view on the sails during the weekend.
