Veterans Day USO Victory Canteen

Focussing on two wars that changed the face of America, this year's Veterans Day USO Victory Canteen on November 8, 2009, at Historic New Bridge Landing, 1201-1209 Main St., River Edge, NJ 07661 features the Army Air Forces Historical Association and the 3rd New Jersey Civil War Volunteers from 1 to 4 PM. Founded in 1993, the AAFHA is a North Jersey organization whose volunteer members share a common interest in our aviation heritage, including veterans who flew, manned or maintained bombers, fighters and transports. They will present displays of World War II Army Air Force memorabilia and dramatic readings. They also will interview and record veterans' war experiences. Re-enactors from the Third N.J. Volunteers will perform drills and interact with visitors. Antique and military vehicles will be displayed. The event concludes with a singing of an original song commemorating 9/11 and a ceremonial salute to Fallen Heroes.
